Perfect place for lunch
We went for my daughter’s birthday. We had lunch there and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Food was lovely as always! And a special thanks to our waiter Winston who made everything more fun for us.
Always a crowd pleasing restaurant!
Went there to have dum sum and lobster noodle. This restaurant never disappoints. The dim sum was exceptional. We ordered the lobster fried dumplings, steamed prawn dumpling and prawn and chive dumplings. All delicious. The lobster was as fresh as it
Excellent
We have been many times to this restaurant. This time we found the dinsum exquisite and service excellent.. It is more expensive than the average restaurant . Especially as we had some of their specials . Would recommend and I am sure we will return.
Not worth it
We generally go to royal china adjacent to the club. Our friends recommend it so we tried it and never again. The food was atrociously expensive and at the same time horrible. Two of us £190. Two bad glasses of red wine, one small soup, quarter cr
Last visit I'm afraid
It was my daughter's 21st birthday and I had made the restaurant well aware of this. I asked for a nice table and expected a little more than we got. We ordered a lot of food but the noodles and rice were oversized and they gave portion sizes
I can really complain food was great so I wasn't mad I'm
I can really complain food was great so I wasn't mad I'm sure there's a few things which could change but they should keep it the way it is
Rude staff, poor service, average food
I took my daughter there for lunch today. Very average food. They were not busy, but the service was very poor. Staff were cold, arrogant, and rude. It was a bad experience. I will not return.
Average and overpriced
There are three dim sum restaurants at this Baker Street corner and I made the mistake of picking the closest one. It's not bad, but an underwhelming experience at an exorbitant price. It certainly is not an inviting welcome; the woman at the
£18:50 for Jasmine Tea
the Dim Sum is good but the pricing and service is poor. £18:50 for four Jasmine Tea is outrageous. People were no longer queuing and price gouging of this nature is almost certainly why. I think China Town is a better option now £3 for chilli o
A waste of money and precious evening in London
Typical tourist trap ! Food is not Chinese but some Anglo-Chinese inventions that is not remotely authentic. Not only that Prices are high, they charged extra for everything we asked.. Hoisin sauce.. second cup of Chines tea were 4-6£ extras. We wi
Below average for the price paid
The menu was recommended by a staff who worked there. 3 courses menu for 7 people for a birthday dinner, I think the quality is well overpriced and the outside of the restaurant does have dettol smell which put me off before eating. We only have tw
Not worth the price and service
For the quantity and quality, food was overpriced. Service wasn’t up to a great standard. Feel like service was very rushed (ex. not finished eating yet and the staff were already clearing the table).
Friends For Cantonese
Great lunch. Delicious and very authentic dim sum, lobster e fu noodles perfect and we loved the spicy beef. A perfect lunch, reminiscent of Hong Kong.
Going back!
Sublime food and excellent service. I took lady friends there, I have been to many dimsum places in London incl. yauatcha China town and normal royal China, this one definitely stands out. The dumplings tasted exquisite. We ordered normal popular o
Terrible first impression
The women who initially 'greeted' me was incredibility rude. Firstly, she barked at me for being at the wrong reception desk (I mistakenly walked too far into the restaurant), then when I walked back to the correct area, she just stared at me a said
Great Food - Terrible Service
I’ve been coming here for 25 years but the service is just too difficult to stomach now. They don’t give enough basic dipping sauce for your £200 of dim sum and argue when you ask for a reasonable amount to go with your food. It’s just petty.
Excellent Chinese Food
Reservations necessary as the place is busy. There are two halls on either side of entry and a few private rooms for diners. The place is a bit noisy due to the loud conversations by the diners. The decor is very simple and the tables are very close
Not to write home about
Expensive. Food not bad. Distant service. I spent £163 for two courses and three glasses of wine. The HK style prawns were good but on the tough side. The main course of chasiu and rice was good but it did not combine well with the starter (my mista
Horrible service and too pricy for what you get out of it!
Greeted by super sulky waitress. A table of 4 pax and she lead us to the smallest table of the restaurant. I asked to change to a slightly bigger round table and luckily we got it. I thought maybe the timing of our entrant met her worst timing, he
Crispy aromatic peking duck at its best
We had eaten here previously and all the dishes were exceptional and of course for quality there is a price. We visited this time and decided to choose our favourite Chinese dish - crispy aromatic peking duck and one dish only.It was sublime - mois
Food is good!
Food is actually quite good but not sure it’s that much better from royal china a few doors down to charge that much more. Wine list is overpriced and some of the waiters are rude and aggressive.
Valentines day
Went to The Royal China Club for valentines with a few friends, fabulous lobster and scallops, so much food and excellent quality but was unable to eat any more. Love this place staff are amazing, it’s expensive but for a treat I’d highly recomme
Birthday dinner.
Very nice restaurant. Friendly personnel, very quick service and reasonable prices for its character. A lot of choices of dishes.
One of the best Chinese in London
We went with friends and we are vegetarians . The service food was of the highest quality.we had soup which was at the right temperature & very tasty . The starters with Tofu excellent the main courses all terrific. With the service being of the
Terrible service
Terrible and rude service. For the kind of money they charge, I expect good service, no matter how good the food is. Terrible, terrible service. The food is slightly is overrated too.
Food good but extremely expensive and terrible service
Super expensive, poor service. I am actually outraged - we were charged 170 per person without drinks. The lobster noodles where £500 pounds!! This should be illegal
