When to this restaurant twice in a week whilst staying in Zermatt, stunning location, food superb and staff excellent. Well worth a visit when you go to Zermatt. If your walking up it is at least an hour but at least you build up your appetite!!

Worth the hike (.7 miles each way)both ways. Beautiful restaurant in the middle of nowhere with great views of the Matterhorn on a clear day. Food was beyond excellent. We ate outside. You need to be in shape to get there and back!
Worth it!
Absolutely worth it. With took the funnicular to Sunnegga and hiked down. Front row seats over looking the Matterhorn were spectacular. And the food!!!! Yummy beyond expectations for a mountain local.

Best Meal in Zermatt
I was hesitant about going to Chez Vrony with my children (9 & 5) because the only way there is by hiking downhill and then hiking back uphill. I wasn’t sure how my kids were going to do, but they did great. The hike to and from the restaurant

Excellent lunch in the slopes of Zermatt
