We dined here the other night after waiting quite awhile to get a reservation but it was well worth the wait! Everything and I mean everything was delicious and top notch. Their Chicken Parm was one of the best we ever had, appetizers were on point and the service was spectacular. We. loved the spicy rigatoni one of the best ever, cant wait to go back even if it takes another few months!

You know when a place is hyped up so much and then you go to the place and it doesn't live up to the hype?? Yeah you're not going to find that here at this restaurant! Anjelicas lived up to the hype and then some. The food was absolutely amazing. Hands down the best spicy rigatoni and the best chicken cutlet Parm I have ever had. The ambience was adorable. We sat in the little alleyway off to the side, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was expected to be slightly chilly this day they provided blankets on the back of our chairs as well as heating lamps. The service was so on point...there are constant waiters walking around, replenishing your drinks, pouring your wine, taking away dirty plates and getting you whatever it is that you need. I cannot wait to go back to this establishment. I absolutely loved it!

Well we finally got a reservation at Anjelica's and it was worth the wait! Absolutely loved the old school Italian ambiance in here. It's also BYOB and there's a liquor store right next store! We started with the meatballs and baked oysters - baked oysters were absolutely delicious! I had to get the spicy rigatoni and my boyfriend had the baked chicken - both amazing! We ended the night with the pistachio cake dessert. 10/10 experience!

The olive oil cake was one of the best I've ever had. We ate outside in the alley and it was really romantic and cozy. The server was great. BYOB.
Mixed bag
Food was very good. Service was attentive. However, the long list of specials, with many details, were very difficult to remember. Worse, no prices were shared. Even worse, when asked the price of one of the specials, the server claimed he was "unsure," but took a "guess." Really?
This restaurant is outstanding.
The food is by far and wide the best food in NJ. It's always consistent and delicious. It's a bring your own and the space is tiny but the veal chop, beet salad was incredible. Service is excellent too. Wish I could get a reservation more frequently.
Best at the jersey shore
We have been visiting friends for years at Sea Bright and finally had the chance to eat at Angelica’s. Had a 9:30 pm reservation on a Saturday evening and we were seated right away, was actually shocked. It was packed inside. Felt like walking into an Italian restaurant in NYC. We started off with artichoke appetizer and the fried potato chips. Delicious. I had chicken Milanese. Best I’ve ever eaten. My wife had the dover sole, cooked perfect. Other couple each had pasta dishes and they loved them. Waiter John was terrific. Difficult to get a reservation but if you have the chance, you have to go.

How do you even get a reservation at this place !?!?!?! I tried RESY, calling the restaurant numerous times , emailing , no one responds or picks up the phone . Ridiculous! Have dined here before and yes it was very good. Would love to return again if only I could SCORE a reservation!

Not worth the ridiculous antics required to get a reservation. Good food, but......we're in the NY tri-state area - authentic and delicious Italian restaurants with incredible ambiance aren't hard to come by. Won't be back.
A treat at Christmas time
This restaurant is reliably excellent. That includes the food and the service. We try to go every Christmas Eve. They are very popular so make your reservations for that day way before Thanksgiving. The outdoor seating looks pretty but we haven’t tried it. BYOB. Try the meatballs pomodoro with ricotta appetizer and the veal chop. BYOB. They also offered a “seven fishes” menu but I don’t know if they do that every year. Try it!
Amazing food
This upscale Italian restaurant is one of the hottest places in Monmouth County. This is because the food is spectacular!! The portions are not huge, but the food is delicious. It's a little tight inside, but it's well worth the experience.

we had a 730 reservation we got there and of course they’re running 15 to 20 minutes behind. No big deal but another party of four got there 10 minutes after we did they had the same time of reservations. We did 730 but because they knew someone they sat down before us we felt like second-class citizens. we waited another 15 minutes before we sat down ,unless you know somebody there you are treated like a second-class citizen, which really ruins the experience. The food was OK so I would not go back. you can go to other Italian restaurants with the same quality food and you don’t feel like You are a nobody because you don’t know anybody there. It’s almost like they’re doing you a favor by sitting you down to have dinner at the restaurant.
I've been to Anjelica's twice in the last week.
And both times were absolutely worth it! It's not overhyped at all. The servers and hosts are all very friendly and welcoming and attentive. The first time there, we had the octopus special and baked oysters for apps, the rigatoni with lobster (lots of lobster too), and the lamb special. The second time, I dined solo and got the mussels special and the Jersey corn pasta special. Not one dish was bad, and in fact really impressed me and my taste buds. My favorite so far has been the octopus over sun choke special and the lobster rigatoni. I could eat those two dishes every week! The ambiance is warm, inviting, and transports you to an authentic classy spot in Italy. The outdoor dining area in the side alley is very charming and great on a cool summer evening. It's the perfect spot after a nice beach day across the street! Hope to be back as much as I can this summer when down the shore!
A more hospitable team of pros you will not find.
From the moment we arrived absolutely everyone we encountered were service professionals I find the room a bit too dark and noisy so we opted to sit outdoors on a lovely evening The menu looked lovely but since it was late we did not want to eat too heavily We started with gently toasted bread and the best olive oil one could find. Our first item was the Cacio Pepe which was prepared perfectly. Al dente , hot, and very flavorful. A big hit! The veal saltibocca was less exciting I'm sorry to say. I found it over cooked, tough and the mashed potatoes just fair. No my favorite dish. I think I'll opt for a seafood next visit. I will go back, because there were so many things right about this restaurant that I feel and I wanna give it another opportunity. The staff are the most accommodating and friendly people I've seen in a long time in a good restaurant. We will be back!

Can someone explain the hype of the restaurant to me please? We had a 8:30 reservation. We weren't seated until 9. You have to order all of your food at once. Appetizers came out fairly quickly. Entrees took over an hour to come out. Service is absolutely abysmal. The server was so rude. We asked how large a pasta entree is and he said he wasn't sure in the most curt tone. He could have checked or explained what he meant by I'm not sure. It was so strange. The servers never check up on you and are difficult to flag down. We didn't have enough water or wine glasses and it took 30 minutes to get one. The food is mediocre. Pasta vodka was gross. Sea bass was fine and nothing to write home about. Cacio pepe and meatballs were the best items we tried. All of the food lacked seasoning. We didn't get dessert because we didn't want to wait another hour for it to come out. The restaurant is loud and has crowded tables. A table top can seat anywhere from 2 to 6 people so they really squeeze you in.
We came by again last week.
Sadly, our waiter was not as good- or the food was not as good as the first time we arrived. We waited for a while between courses and saw our waiter standing around at times while we had a significant lapse in courses without him checking on our food. He would say it would be coming if we asked. The app board was not nearly as good as the first time we came ( we got the large this time). The entrees were ok but not as good this time either. Sad to say, maybe the hype isn't worth the wait for a reservation again.

We have eaten at Anjelica's four times over many years in visiting Sea Bright for vacations. We have been pleased with the consistency of the excellent food and the professional and seamless service on each visit. Anjelica's has typically had a sandwich walk-up stand along Ocean Avenue on weekend afternoons. Sandwiches are made with top-notch, fresh ingredients on excellent bread. The sit-down dining experience is superb. Servers have extensive lists of specials memorized and can offer good feedback about what's recommended and they know about the food. Service is courteous and attentive without being intrusive. The food itself is remarkably good, with dishes balancing portions and high quality very well. On our most recent visit, we had a filet of sole and lamb chops for entrees: both were specials that night. Both were excellent and presented beautifully. For an appetizer we had roasted oysters and split a Caesar salad. House-made gelato is excellent. Anjelica's is every bit as good as people crack it up to be and their success is well-deserved.

By far, the best restaurant at the Jersey Shore!!! Food is always amazing and Anjelica, the owner, brings fine dining to a whole new level!! She uses the finest ingredients, olive oil, fresh pasta, cheeses and best cut of meats and fresh seafood which all make for an unforgettable dinner!! The staff is friendly and very attentive and the outdoor dining brings me back to Italy, eating "Al fresco". Love, love this restaurant
This was an outstanding dinner.
All the food was amazing and the spacing between courses was not rushed. The tagliolini al forno was particularly delicious and I highly recommend. I plan on coming back very soon. Also, special thanks to Pedro who made it a memorable dinner for us.

Every time i visit my daughter in Rumson (I’m from So Carolina) we either go here for dinner or lunch. It is the biggest treat ever. This time i had the ravioli and have to say it is my favorite so far.

The food is excellent.
The service was good and the price of the food is out of control. VERY EXPENSIVE. It was very loud and the restaurant has too many tables therefore it was uncomfortable and very hard to move out of your chair without touching or bumping into another table. It is a place to go to once I would not go there again because it is not worth the money they charge for Veal parmigiana $70.00 a plate!

Absolutely phenomenal! I had the pleasure to experience this restaurant twice in one month! Both dinner timeframes and both were great, the lamb chop appetizer was delicious and well prepared, I had a lobster pasta and my date enjoyed a fish offering on the 2nd visit, As mentioned both visits were great! We sat outside our first visit and inside the second. My personal preference is outside! The ambiance and warmth from the lamps made for a more intimate atmosphere compared to the close tables inside. Can't wait to visit again!
Too hyped...meh
Went here for my moms bday. We were a party of 6. Before going here, all we heard of was how amazing this place was. So, we were looking forward to eating here. When we arrived, we noted how busy and packed it was. We were seated at a circle table but so close to other diners that we could easily hear what people near us were saying and could smell their food. As for the food, my gorgeous gf said the flavor was good, but the veal saltimbucco was tough. My lobster pasta was tasty, but the lobster was tough and chewy. The cheese board was expensive for deli meats and cheese that you can get from acme for 1/10 of the price with the same quality and a 6 year old could of put together better. Even though it was byo, we found it overpriced for mediocre food. Would we come back....probably not. There are plenty more better and cheaper restaurants in Rumson, Red Bank and Asbury. Sorry to everyone that adore this place.

The restaurant is gorgeous and packed with local people. The service by Billy was excellent and accommodating. His recommendations were spot on. I have been to outstanding restaurants in our beautiful country. This one is my top 5. The food is so fresh and thoroughly flavorful and balanced. Well done and dine.

OK, I'm not getting it.
.. Not getting all of these spectacular reviews and why it's virtually impossible to get a reservation at this place? Honestly I was expecting the best dining experience ever. The place is cramped, the menu is sparse and the food is good, but certainly not the best I've ever had in the area. I paid $60 for a dish of pasta with vodka sauce with a few pieces of hard lobster meat in it. My veal chop was burnt and my wife's Salmon special was literally a 3" square if overcooked fish. Nothing special here especially considering the price tag. Sorry that's my opinion.

I really consider this the best Italian restaurant in New Jersey. I was able to enjoy veal parm, the spicy vodka, lamb, meatballs, octopus and several other dishes. Everything stood out. I find the meatballs here to be perfection. Nobody comes close. The service is phenomenal every time! We have had date nights and family meals and the food here makes each time special. I can't say how wonderful it is to have such beautiful food so close by. 100/10 always recommended.

Finally secured a reservation well over 30 days in advance,
Finally secured a reservation well over 30 days in advance, which has been impossible to say the least. Required $25 per person deposit to secure the reservation. Byob so we brought our wine to the door, only to see a hand written note that it was randomly closed for today. No notice, no alerts from open table, no emails. Several other couples also stood outside in disbelief, dressed up with their wine bags, all pissed off that they now have to find an alternative last minute. This also substantially changed our plans for the night, and was also unable to cancel the open table reservation due to the Apple Pay requirement, making us unable to choose another restaurant. Poor form.
This Resturant deserves at least one Michelin Star.

Went at 4pm on a Saturday because that's the only time I could get a reservation. Originally had a table for 4 but other couple couldn't make it. The tables for 2 were cramped and either by the front door, up against a wall near the bathroom or by the kitchen door. To start my husband had the soup special of roasted fennel and potato; it was light and delicious. I had the baked oyster special which was tasty but oysters were tiny and not worth $24 for 6. We then shared a very disappointing chopped salad. It tasted good but was chopped so fine it was the consistency of a relish; definitely not worth $22! We split the limencello pasta with toasted breadcrumbs. It was bright and creamy and perfectly al dente but pricey at $34. Dinner was the halibut special; delicious and chicken saltimboca; good but not amazing. For dessert we had tiramisu; pretty good but not nearly as good as my grandmas, and pistachio olive oil cake; delicious! Cappuccino could've been hotter. I'll try again but in the warmer months so I could sit outside. Overall there are some menu items that are worth the price and others (salad) that definitely are not. The restaurant is byob which saves a little, but our meal for 2 with a 20% tip was $280! Next time I'll have to try the pork chop with broccoli rabe because it looked amazing! Also, this is not the place to bring babies and toddlers! Some people did and it was kind of annoying to hear a baby screaming in addition to the sound of her iPad.

We felt as though they had back to back to back reservations and we were holding them up from seating another party. However this is not why I am giving 1 star. The 1 star is due to their lack of common decency regarding an inquiry for a private event. I filled out their online form inquiring about a private event for about 50 people. After a week's time I had still not received a response. My fiancé then filled out the form, again requesting information about hosting a private party for about 50 people. After 4 days, we again did not receive a response. So I decided to call and inquire. The man I spoke with told me that they don't do "private" events for 50 people. When I asked for clarification he said that the event would have to be held while the restaurant was open to other guests. Confused, I asked again if there was no possible way to host a private event at their restaurant. To which he replied that unless I wanted to cover the costs of the business they would lose by hosting my private party, then no, and in his words "it would be very expensive." So it is now very clear to me that our online requests were intentionally ignored because they had no interest in hosting a 50 person event. The fact that no one could even respond to inform us that they could not accommodate a private party of that size is incredibly rude. And the response I received on the phone about "covering the cost of the business they would lose," was enough to make me never return. Horrible customer service.

Not worth the wait. The last time I was here they were extremely accommodating. I try to eat a whole foods plant based diet for health reasons. Last time, even though they didn't have it on the menu, they made for me a gorgeous thin breaded eggplant with marinara sauce and pasta. It was amazing and I was sooooo looking forward to having it again. But alas they said they didn't have it anymore and don't even have a marinara sauce at all if I wanted to simply have pasta with marinara. They offered a pasta with veggies and olive oil. But thid did not sound too exciting to me so I passed on it. I will say though that the potatoe soup appetizer which was vegan was very good. Service was also good. But it's tough when you look forward to something that you loved so much and they no longer have it. I will occasionally have shrimp even though it's not good for me when I'm out and their are few options. So I ordered the shrimp with sauce. But unfortunately I wasn't a big fan of it. My husband who is not vegan loved the meatball appetizers but said his veal was tougher and chewier than previously. We were here to celebrate my birthday but didn't ask for the staff to sing. But it seemed like everyone else tonight that had a birthday did. We counted 6 times that the staff all sang loudly happy birthday to others in the small restaurant. It was like being at a smaller Chili's. Bring your ear plugs if the loud singing bothers you.
Beautiful outdoor seating and extremely delicious food.
I had one of the fish specials which was very fresh. The staff is also very attentive without being too in your face. Looking forward to going back again.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at Anjelica's Restaurant Monmouth Beach to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PerceptiveWash44 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
