Started out being welcomed by host who congratulated us on our Anniversary. But that was the end of the celebration. The dining room was booming loud & we were seated across from kitchen doors for our romantic evening. Watched staff running around 15 minutes before waitress arrives. Another 15 plus minutes for appetizers to arrive. The empty plates sit until i wave someone down to remove them. Two courses took 1.5 hours . We passed on dessert since that would have required another 40 minutes. The food tasted fine but the evening was not romantic or fun. The waitress had zero interest in interacting because it seems she was handing the whole room with two assistants. Did I mention the new decor has zero charm downstairs. Go elsewhere to spend your celebration. Wish we had given up after the last meal we had the same bad service experience.
You can do better than this, Mews!
Long-time customers here. Ate upstairs and enjoyed our lovely dinner, which was well supported by hard-working & loyal service staff. That’s why I gave you 3 stars. I unfortunately deducted 2 stars for the disappointment in your year-long renovation. ☹️ What happened, Mews?! Did you run out of funds bec you totally missed the mark in interior design!! Everyone is complaining of the loud noise such that we will never bring out-of-town guests to you, as we typically do, because we won’t be able to enjoy quiet conversation with them. I was really shocked by how small your tables for two were given how much you charge us for your food, so unacceptable! Pls get in a professional interior designer this winter to remedy the noise problem and add some warmth and charm to your place! Otherwise, I’m afraid you’re going to continue to lose your loyal, annual customers like ourselves. We deserve better than fine dining in your uninteresting and cheap decor and so do you, Mews!
Disappointed
Tonight was our first visit back to The Mews since the remodel and we were so disappointed. The Mews was our go to restaurant in Provincetown and now we are unsure if we will return. Here is a review of our experience. Our entrees were served lukewarm at best. Service was slow. Although the remodel provides a beautiful ambiance it is ruined by the strong odor of new carpeting and the noise level is so loud it’s impossible to carry on a conversation.
Excellent food and staff!
What a great way to end our day in P-Town! Our server was full of friendly energy and made our experience that much more memorable. We loved the diverse menu - started with a dozen oysters - juicy and briny and so fresh! The melon gazpacho was also a hit, sweet and spicy. The tuna sashimi - while misnamed (it was seared, sashimi is completely raw) - was absolutely delicious, super fresh and paired with marinated cucumbers and pickled onions, with the sesame soy dipping sauce...really good. The tempura mushrooms and the tofu vindaloo were both full of flavor, and the truffle parmesan fries were also great, especially when dipped in the homemade hot sauce, which was sweet at first with a nice spicy kick. Would definitely come back again!
Mixed
The Mews is one of our long time favorite special occasion restaurants in Ptown. They just completely redid the interior so we were excited to try it. The good news is the food was excellent and it was also great to see some new additions to their menu. Our service was warm and perfect. BUT the new interior feels like a fast casual place, all Formica, crammed in cheap seats and tables, and absolutely no attention to comfort or visuals. The noise level now is also deafening. They can fix this…spend some money to have someone warm this place up so it has a personality please!

Great Food, Not-so great ambiance
We were seated in the upstairs dining room, and unfortunately, the noise level was deafening. Tables were tightly packed, and the acoustics amplified every voice in the room. There was background music playing, but it was completely drowned out by the surrounding noise. It was difficult to carry on a conversation, and we ended up cutting the evening short. The food, for the most part, was excellent. Standout appetizers included the artichoke cakes and a crisp, well-balanced Gem Caesar salad. For mains, the filet mignon was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Melted Cabbage vegetarian dish, however, was a disappointment—the wilted mustard greens were unusually tough and chewy, which threw off the whole plate. Wine pours were generous, martinis were excellent, and service was friendly and attentive.
Like eating in an airport
The devoted, long-time fans of The Mews restaurant who waited eagerly during its long reconstruction are stunned to see that their loved one died on the operating table. For Provincetown visitors who always included a night to go to The Mews, you can now go home a day earlier. The Mews was a beloved Provincetown gem with unique warmth, style, and character - like everything else in this charming town. It is now indistinguishable from a high school cafeteria. Gone are decades of beautiful, welcoming paneling, antiques, and coziness. There is no atmosphere at all - comparable to a CVS in comfort. There is cheap commercial construction with rolled-on semi-gloss paint, cheap commercial furniture, harsh off-florescent lighting; it is noisy, cold, and bare. To top it off, the food isn't great.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with friends at the Mews pop-up at the Waterford Inn. Our choices covered the full range of the fall menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent.
Great dinner in Ptown.
Had a superb meal there - duck breast with a peppercorn sauce, green beans and a delicious potato pavé, and my wife had the wild boar bolognese, accented with squash and mace. Highly recommend.

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at The Mews Restaurant & Cafe Provincetown to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The Mews Restaurant & Cafe Provincetown!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
