I'm very relieved to see that this restaurant is closed.
I was just able to determine the name of this restaurant this very week, after years of trying to remember. I've been wanting to leave this review since 2021. I have personally witnessed the owner of this restaurant putting his customers at risk for catching Covid during the Covid Pandemic when there was an outbreak of Covid amongst the team in the kitchen at this restaurant. Chef David Kinch is the owner's name and he was the one that actually gave the orders, putting his customers at risk for catching Covid, in order to reap in the projected profits that the restaurant was set to earn during the busy holiday session. I was actually living with my roommate who served as the "Executive Assistant" for Chef David Kinch, when the outbreak occurred. Chef David Kinch actually caught Covid, and then he returned to WORKING IN THE KITCHEN SERVING FOOD to the public, before he was in the clear to return to work safely. David Kinch also demanded that other team members at restaurant return to work before they were ready to return after they got sick with Covid, it was one of the most disturbing things that I've ever witnessed in my entire life. I quickly moved out of my roommate house, due to an emergency situation in my life, that was caused by my roommate, and in doing so, I was unable to determine the name of this restaurant until just this week. I wrote this review as quickly as I could.

We came here Sunday 12/18/22 around 7pm.
We didn't have the fate to be able to try the chef's tasting menu $595. It was fully booked in November and December. But we still wanted to try before they officially close down at the end of December so we tried their Bar menu instead. We tried everything except the sauteed pears with vanilla ice cream and golden osetra caviar. Caviar was $250. It was definitely a lot cheaper than the tasting menu. It's about $400ish if you try everything. So it was about $386 for our bill but including 2 wine glasses. We also got full off the breads that come with the dishes. We also asked if there's any off menu dish that we could try. The white truffle pasta was $225. Very pricey, so we didn't do it. It's the only option if you still want to try Manresa before it closes down. There's 4 seats at the bar counter and 2 lounge sofas. We sat at one of the lounge sofa since that's the only seat that's open. We saw 2 tables outside but it's way too cold to sit outside. Doesn't look like there's any heat lamps. The lounge area doesn't have much a wait since people don't really eat and drink long. We saw people leave and come for the bar area quite often. We stayed for about 2 hours. Most of the food we had were good. The lighting was dim and temperature was warm. Service was ok. Bartender took a while to refill our water glasses and give us our bill. But he's the only person servicing the bar area. We also needed suggestions on white wines, so the bartender brought over the wine connoisseur. He kept telling us about the wines, but not on how the wine tastes and the notes lol...At least he was knowledgeable.Parking is either street or the public/customer parking lot. Very easy parking when we went on Sunday night. But there could be some improvements. Wished we could have been able to try the chef's menu but it's quite pricey. You won't get the whole experience at the Bar area, but it's better than nothing now.Bonito tuna sashimi style- very fresh Pate de Campagne- too saltyGrilled gruyere & black truffle sandwich- very oil & buttery, didn't taste any truffle taste. But guyere was good. It's just like a grilled cheese sandwich.Charcoal grilled Manresa Bread Levain and Foie gras- very good. Foie gras is fatty and oily.Grilled beef tongue sandwich- so tender and melt in your mouthDuck terrine & apricot confiture- not salty at all and has pistachio nuts. Good textureDaily dessert selection- chocolate granache & chocolate gelato with gold flakes- very goodFosse-seche Saumu "Arcane", Loire Valley 2018- chenin blanc, dry, smoothBuisson-battault bourgogne-Aligote , France 2018- rose, smooth, has a hint of sweetness

I've been getting more into fine dining in the past few years and you truly get what you pay for with Michelin star restaurants. Manresa has three stars and is frequently booked out so make sure to plan in advance for special occasions. I was very excited to celebrate my birthday here with their Early Fall Garden menu. We opted for wine pairings and every pairing was exceptional. I especially enjoyed the unique beers and rare wines. The servers are incredibly knowledgeable and seem to enjoy talking about the wines and food. One of my favorite things about Manresa is that it's very approachable in the world of fine dining. Yes the service is impeccable but the atmosphere is not at all stuffy and they had tasteful music lightly playing in the background and people were having actual conversations and enjoying a wonderful experience rather than whispering across a table. We were initially greeted with breads from their famous bakery. I wasn't fond of the flavored butter that accompanied but the bread was tasty and crust was very nice.First presentation was petit fours, unique because they look like sweets but had red bell pepper and a black olive version. I enjoyed the olive one more. Granola crisp with goat cheese followed. Tasty small bite but not particularly memorable. Sea urchin bavarois was very fresh and a wonderful example of the perfect bite of sea urchin. Clam and matsutake mushroom in seafood essence was one of my least favorite dishes. The mushroom and clam had very similar textures and it was a little off-putting. Shellfish essence was overly salty, like seawater but that might be the point. Into the vegetable garden tart was truly beautifully plated, like taking a walk into a vegetable garden of my childhood and discovering new plants sprouting. Abalone lobster mushroom and chestnut was tasty but I wasn't a fan of the chestnut addition. Again, a personal texture preference. Turbot with endive and seaweed was very interesting, really liked the different types of seaweed used. Wagyy with cauliflower and black garlic was our only meat plating and it was very delicious. Dessert was a honey custard with watermelon and huckleberry and petit fours. Dinner with wine pairing for two will run about 1700. This was certainly a great experience where the food was elevated by unique presentations and wonderful service. I'd definitely recommend it for people who appreciate food.

Here is what I just texted my old college buddy about the experience:"Manresa.Be still my beating heart. OMG. I died and went to heaven. All other food is so basic now. I am ruined.Just sitting down to dinner at home and what a letdown of a chef I am."Bottome line: You will need to save up for this place but OH WOW is it worth it. Service was outstanding, kind and not intrusive or pretentious. The food and location is magical. I loved the creativity and attention to detail of each dish and presentation. Finally, I marveled at the hard work that went into each course - impressive. I am sorry for so much adulation but it was a memorable experience. I can't help myself.Dining tip: wear an elastic waistband and comfortable shoes

This time at the Michelin Starred restaurant. Been there twice. The pics were from our first visit. Each dish was exquisite in presentation and taste! We did the tasting meal so there were more than enough courses. Add on top, the cheese platter (upcharge) and you'll be more than full at the end of the evening. Not sure how often the menu changes, whether it's weekly or monthly, but I know we didn't have the same courses during our second visit. Perfect ambience for a nice romantic evening. One thing you have to be aware of is the large group setting. For our second visit we had a table for 8. We prepaid a reservation fee to book it. Once the wine (which was amazing by the way) started flowing and 8 good friends chatting away, the noise level did start to go up. But hey, we were all trying to fun catching up after a long time. Our table was tucked in the back part of the restaurant away from the main dining. There was absolutely no one else sitting near us. One of the waiters comes by and tells us that we are being too loud and we did apologize, but he continued to tell us that the table that we got usually costs $12,000 and that we were paying much less. I'm really not sure why he would have to mention that. It was up to them to book it and they accepted it. We didn't coerce them into doing so or trying to negotiate. As I walked about the room, I didn't see anyone waiting for tables in the lobby and there were plenty around us so I began to wonder what the reasoning was to tell us that we won the lottery for not having to pay full price. This definitely was a downer. But our main waitress (sorry, not sure of the fancy name for her) was awesome. She didn't once make us feel uncomfortable. In fact, we closed down the restaurant. It was a 6 hour dining experience and the company and the food is what made the evening. Due to this treatment, however I'm downgrading this to 3 stars, similar to their Michelin rating. We did get to meet David Kich and get a photo with him so that was awesome. This was neat since he is retiring soon.

26th Wedding Anniversaey celebration! The restaurant is darkly lit, quiet and comfortable with staff who are friendly and professional. We were excited as each course came out, but ultimately, not crazy about the price point for what we were served. Our main protein was squab with a claw left on the leg - I suppose I should be wowed by that, but I wasn't, and the meat on the leg was dry and tough. We did enjoy some very good items, like the Granola Crisp with Goat Cheese, and the Halibut and Citrus. The desserts are beautiful and absolutely delicious. Alsoon't let the dress code fool you; there was a couple seated next to us who were wearing sweats and tennis shoes. Although I'm not convinced it was worth the price, I'm glad we finally dined at Manresa.
Came here to celebrate my birthday.
It was my second visit - the last time I visited was before the pandemic. Food was amazing as always. I liked every dish on the menu. It's one of those places you go to celebrate special occasions and the whole experience makes for a great night. When I went last time, for the bread course, they brought out this giant bread basket with different options and you could choose but that wasn't this case this time which made me a bit sad. The bread they served was still quite yummy though. I also found the service to have slipped a little bit as sometimes my water cup was empty and I had to wait a bit for someone to notice and refill it.

* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Manresa Los Gatos to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Manresa Los Gatos!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
