PARKING: We parked across the street and paid. FOOD: Menu changes weekly so pictures now are really just an idea. Because there was only 2 people in my party, they gave us one dish at a time and explained the composition and ingredients. Perhaps they'll present multiple dishes of its a bigger party? Everything was tasty and rich in flavor; only comment is that the ice cream sandwich cookie was thick and therefore a bit hard.... Def had to hold it, you couldn't just use a spoon. For 2 people, we were comfortably full with 4 dishes (1 from small plates and dessert) and 2 from medium plates. SERVICE: They do have a 21% surcharge added to the bill but I will say it was fair. The staff checked on every table and when we finished a plate, it was left for no more than a couple minutes and someone grabbed it. They were checking on waters often too. NOTE: The restroom is out of the restaurant - you walk through a corridor and enter in a code to use the restroom. At least it's well-lit and clean. Overall, amazing, wonderful, excellent. A staff member mentioned República and De Noche are also same chef/owner/something so I would definitely want to try as well!

I really wanted to love everything about Lilia.
Republica is one of my favorite restaurants and I had high expectations for Lilia. First off, the food here is definitely approaching a five out of five. The piece that makes me give it a four out of five is really the experience both in the restaurant and online which are mediocre at best. Specifically, when you book online, there is no clear way to book chefs counter. Well, I don't always care about that, there is no way to note that you prefer that on the reservation nor is there a separate booking or time for that. The staff at the restaurant seemed confused when asked about this by both myself and another couple. The other piece that was sort of strange was that we had at least 3 to 4 servers our entire experience. All of them were very polite, but none of them seem to communicate with each other about what orders were placed, what was explained, etc. I anticipate things will improve with time however this initial experience wasn't exactly stellar. I do look forward to checking out the other restaurants associated with Republica.

Food was amazing! We were there celebrating a dear friend. Service was inconsistent so took a while to get everything ordered. I get it is a smaller restaurant but while we were having dessert and drinks they told us we needed to leave immediately because they needed the table! It would have been nice when they brought the dessert and drinks to say, sorry to rush you but we need this table soon. Then we would have finished up to clear out in a timely manner. It felt very jarring for such a lovely high end restaurant.

As folks have shared, Chef Juan is operating at such a high level. He and his staff are welcoming and disciplined all at once. You truly owe it to yourself to journey through the chef counter menu, you won't regret it. You have seen the pictures, now go try the food!

Food was incredible, service was good, they were very accommodating and answered all of our questions about the menu without any confusion. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The restaurant is small, and gets very loud at times. So if you are looking for a quiet, romantic restaurant this probably isn't the place.

The food was utterly fantastic and the staff members were friendly and helpful. If you're a foodie in the Portland area this restaurant is a must! Can't recommend enough, we'll definitely be back!

Phenomenal- Inventive- Exhilarating - one of those meals
Phenomenal- Inventive- Exhilarating - one of those meals that made me want to ask the chef for an autograph - informed staff taught me about heritage foods that I had never heard about before (corn truffles!!) that were absolutely divine. The dishes were done in a way that was both luxurious and health-forward, by leaning into local ingredients and traditional expertise on healthy ratios and combining it with innovative techniques and never before tasted flavors - Lilia Comedor is one of those special meals that will change your relationship with food and heal your soul. And a phenomenal cocktail menu and wine list. The beautiful windows overlooking the waterfront made the already comfortable space feel even larger.

The food was phenomenal, one of the best dining experiences I've had in all my years of dining. The service was impeccable from the moment our party walked until we left. The ambience is beautiful, the environment was laid back, peaceful, and the chef and kitchen staff flowed seamlessly as we watched them prepare each dish. We did the tasting menu and everything on the menu that week was great. We really enjoyed the mole with the pork, so much so, one of the guests I dined with made reservations to bring her partner back the next day.

What an incredible experience! Each course was filled with a comforting familiarity yet mind-blowing complexity of combinations and well sourced ingredients that elevated the flavors. The chef was welcoming and kind and thorough in explanation. The kitchen curated a special dish for the last course because of a pork allergy just for us. Cocktails were delicious and wine well curated. We left stuffed and with boxes of left overs. We will certainly be back, I will wake up craving some of the dishes until then and look forward to the next creations.
A delicious, elevated experience
A wonderful experience from start to finish. Appealing, welcoming dining space. Friendly, professional staff. Excellent food where each course offered a lovely, surprising, delicious new flavor I hadn't experienced before. I think the cuisine is described as Mexican-forward, but these creative, elevated dishes transcend a region/category. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
A gem in the South Waterfront!
Terrific food and presentation with a knowledgeable and caring waitstaff. Chef sources his ingredients fresh, often the same day at local farmers markets. The wine list is unique within a nice selection of good wines from Mexico that you won’t see in many restaurants in Portland.

This food is outstanding. I believe they refer to it as "Mexican-forward", but I will just say it's very flavorful and "clean" - not over-sauced, or too rich.
Fine Dining with a Roll Up Your Sleeves Flare
There is passion here - a group of people who know what they’re doing, and love doing it. It was obvious that the Chef prepares his dishes with his heart. We indulged in the Chef’s tasting menu and with each dish, an explanation accompanied it. You will not depart hungry either. Portions are generous, especially for a tasting menu. Although upscale, be prepared to get a little messy. But do not stress it - it’s encouraged by the staff, and they are on standby to tidy up. An all around wonderful experience. It was warm, fun, and delicious. Offering a menu that is ever changing, with an emphasis on what’s in season, and local, I can’t wait to return to take on the next dish. It’s not often you know exactly where you food comes from, let alone the age of it, and meeting the person who prepared it just for you. Well done Lilia Comedor!
A New Gem has arrived.
This was my wife and I first time to this place. The staff recommended the tasting menu and being very hungry we went for it. It was fantastic. Everything was so well prepared and presented so well. Service was outstanding making it a superb evening event. This will become a top restaurant in Portland.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Lilia Comedor Portland to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Lilia Comedor Portland!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
