This restaurant didn't skimp on the portions at all.
Good price and well worth it. Make sure to arrive early enough because it gets busy quickly. Order everything...you can't go wrong.
What a great and unique menu.
Food was excellent. Service is attentive and friendly. Worth any wait to get in. Fun place to eat.

After our Google entry (kudos) inquiry about local brunch spots, this popped up! I'm glad we decided to go because everything we ordered was delicious! We waited in line to be greeted by Brandon, who took our name and informed us that it would be an hour wait. That bit of information caused us to pause, but, we did not leave. It was worth the wait. Be sure to try the fresh lemonade and orange cream soda. Our server Johanna (sp) greeted us with a smile and And started bringing the items out post haste. The ambience was lively and we would definitely come back.
Food is fabulous.
Wait was only 20 minutes and we were able to have a drink on the patio while we waited. Great service and great atmosphere. Will absolutely be back.
First time my wife and I were there.
All we can say is the food, the employees was just incredible. We arrived towards the end of the shift and they treated us very well and were NOT trying to rush us out. It's really great and prices are very reasonable. Take the jump and go, you will enjoy it!
The restaurant experience was disappointing.
The host was initially very rude, but after realizing their mistake, they made an overly exaggerated effort to be nice, which felt insincere and didn't make up for the initial poor impression. I was 45 min early than my party...so naturally, I wanted to sit down and enjoy a drink or a coffee for the time being before my party arrived then and I would've gotten back in line. There were at least 12 empty seats at the bar ( not one person sitting there yet) and five empty tables, but he wouldn't allow me to go in and relax over a cup of coffee or a drink. He realized the abrupt change in my facial expression due to his snappy comment of requiring my whole party to be there and stating that I am not allowed to come inside, I must wait outside. As I was walking out the door he did apologize but again it didn't make up for it as it was forced and fake My entire family could see right through the fake actions and the overly exaggerated kindness shortly after they arrived and I Didn't even have to tell them what happened. I really didn't want to stay and eat because it was so discomforting. But I drove over an hour to get there. Really NOT the first encounter you want to have with any person when you wake up in the morning. If that's their policy, that's just straight weird to turn away a paying customer when your restaurant is widely available in seating. Needless to say, I have no reason to return here . I've been here twice now. The food is good but it's really not THAT GOOD. Not like they will miss 6 to 10 people dining in their restaurant on occasion.. I surely won't miss being treated like crap first thing in the morning. Cheers

This is literally the the best brunch I have ever had in my entire life. If I could eat here every morning, I would. I had the peach caramel French Toast....it was phenomenal!!! Coffee was a bit strong for my taste but the French Toast made up for it. Literally tasted like doughnuts, peaches, caramel, and magic in my mouth!

Bacon and Butter is a vibe! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I get either the kitchen sink or the breakfast burrito- the portions are big. FYI, there is usually a short wait time depending on what time you go. You can either sit at the bar or a table. They also have a really good music playlist. Definitely one of the yummier breakfast spots in the Sac area.
LOVE LOVE LOVE bacon and butter! The long 1-2 hour waits
LOVE LOVE LOVE bacon and butter! The long 1-2 hour waits are so worth it. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This visit I had the breakfast burrito and it's my favorite savory item on the menu. The cheese skirt is amazing and everything in the burrito just scrambles well and has so much flavor! I always ask for a side of hot sauce and it pairs perfect. The potato skins were so crispy and had a good salty taste. I also decided to try the apple pie French toast as a sweet dish, and it was over the top delicious! The dish itself was not too sweet and the apples had a perfect crunch ratio, definitely shareable if you're looking for something sweet to eat after a savory dish. We also had the pancake shots, so good and so creative! The place can get busy inside, but they never rush you to eat and it doesn't seem too crowded or loud once you're inside. The ambiance outside is a little quieter and is also perfect if it's not too hot.
Bacon and Butter needs to be BETTER!
Food: good not great. I've gotten the Grilled Cheese Benedict a few times, but it's mostly Texas Toast and cheddar that doesn't melt well and turns into a cheese blob as it cools. The Biscuit and Gravy is nasty. They !Kill! it with sage! It's SAGE gravy not sausage gravy. If you put too much sage in your turkey stuffing you ruin it. They do it AS A RULE in their sausage gravy! In gravy? Why? Country Potatoes? Lol. I just love that label for deep fried, soggy chunks of potatoes. My wife loves the Bee Pollen Bowl with fruit, granola, yogurt, and bee pollen in it! She'll miss it! Service: they make you form a line OUTSIDE!... in the cold! When we arrived there was no "hall monitor" outside so we stepped inside to get out of the cold. The lady Hall monitor was asking two gentlemen to leave and get into line outside as we were standing there in bewilderment. They were NOT happy. They said, "Why aren't you asking them to leave?"... pointing to us. She said she was about to. They huffed out and headed for their car. She then turned to us and said we'd had to go outside because "That's the rules." Now when we walked up there was no one waiting outside, so we walked in, not knowing the rules. The "hall monitor" was inside... keeping warm! We were just as put out as the other 2 gentlemen who left. This middle aged blond lady/hall monitor had zero people skills and had no business pretending to be a hostess. All she could do was tell everyone "Sorry. That's the rules. I'm just following the rules. You have to follow the rules." THE RULES WERE NOT POSTED AND SHE WAS NOT THERE TO READ THEM TO US! By the way, there WERE empty tables in there. As we exited the 2 gentlemen who were asked to leave were talking to other people in the parking lot. We said that we were leaving and not coming back. They and the other people APPLAUDED! Lol. I actually went back in to tell the hall monitor lady how she could do her job better. I caught her trying to get sympathy from the bar tender about how people were leaving because she had to follow the rules. Management needs to find a better way to accommodate people and get a front man with better people skills. Ambiance: Ha!

Came across this place on Yelp and seeing the number of positive reviews I had to give it a try myself. I came with a friend on a Wednesday at around noon and we still had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. We got a text when our table was ready. The inside is pretty spacious and was bustling for a Wednesday lunch hour. Items ordered: - Cali burrito ($15): I LOVED this burrito! It came with a LOT of avocado and felt like each half contained half an avocado. It also comes with potatoes, mushrooms, spinach, and egg. I loved dipping it in the side sauce. It did not feel greasy whatsoever which I thought was really great! - Apple pie French toast ($17): If I could eat this everyday I absolutely would. The French toast was so soft and the apple cinnamon flavor was amazing. It really did taste like an apple pie and came with some cream and slices of apple on top. - Grilled Cheese Benedict ($19): I thought the Benedict was alright but the concept of a grilled cheese combined with a Benedict was intriguing. Eggs were nicely cooked and sauce was great. It didn't really taste like a grilled cheese to me but I could still taste the cheese. Comes with either a side of fruit or potatoes. I would come back for the French toast and if they have other flavors for the dish. Solid brunch place!
Grilled cheese Benedict is a MUST.
Seasonal French toast literally melts your heart and taste buds. Service is always quick and enjoyable -- 10/10 recommend sitting at the bar if you get a chance!
Delicious worth the wait.
Will be making another visit for sure. Staff is wonderful a must for sure

Best brunch place to stop by and the service is great too.
The kiwi mimosas were delicious. They were so attentive to my grandson he was two when we came in and they made him his plain scrambled egg and a tiny flapjack.
The team was nice.
Got our name on the list pretty quickly. The wait was about 20 minutes, which is more than fine for a popular restaurant. The ambiance was very nice. The food was ok. The photos you see on Yelp aren't accurate, since they change their menu a lot. (According to our server, as I wanted the chicken fried steak and they didn't have that) Not a good selection for "meat and potatoes" people. The bacon is cheap. Hard, chewy. Almost as if it was cooked the night before and re-heated. The biscuits and gravy were ok. Not a lot of flavor. Burger was dry. The bread pudding was amazing. Obviously there's a ton of positive reviews... so I don't know if it's an off month? Or if I'm just fussy.

Super cute place to eat! Everyone was so nice! Food came out after 10 minutes of ordering! Mimosas were on point! **Weekends they do not do reservations, so make sure you go with expecting a wait, maybe 20 minutes or less.
Hands down the most delicious biscuits and gravy in
Hands down the most delicious biscuits and gravy in Sacramento. I usually get their breakfast sandwich that has a cheese skirt and is covered in gravy. I like to substitute the bacon for a sausage patty in order to make it less messy to eat.
Came to meet with a colleague for brunch and to chat.
It was a little too loud to talk at length, but it was a nice vibe. The honey butter for the biscuits is *chef's kiss*. Server was attentive, kind and provided good recommendations. I don't dare try to come here on a weekend...for me, it's weekday mornings only for me to come, when I have a day off work. Reason is, the wait time can be a lil bit long for my patience.

I finally got here early so that I did not have to wait that long. The wait was about 35 minutes and it was totally worth it. I had a wonderful mimosa hit the right spot of service was easy fast I felt like a diner vibe, but totally chill. When they bring you the check, they bring it in a book and you can sign anywhere inside the book saying thank you it was a great experience. We are definitely coming back this time we're bringing dad.
Dang good!!
Dang I can't believe a restaurant that is this good is actually walking distance from my house which is a good thing because I need to walk after I eat here! The food is so good that you will have a hard time stopping yourself from cleaning your plate! Last time I was here I had the Autumn Omelet and I know you must be thinking "omelet? what's so special about an omelet?" but i am not exaggerating when I say it was without a doubt the best omelet I have ever had and it only got better when I ordered a side order of their bacon gravy because come on people how can you go to Bacon and Butter and not get their bacon gravy!!! You will wait to eat here, there is always a line, so prepare yourself but come hungry and be prepared to be woo'd by how good everything single thing you taste! Enjoy!
Disappointing visit
We started our visit by receiving a very unfriendly scolding by the hostess about not following directions. Not being familiar with this place, we made the terrible error of walking in directly. No one was waiting in line and multiple open tables. Not real hospitable way to be greeted. I ordered the bacon biscuit egg and gravy dish. The components of this meal were all fine, but the presentation was just bizarre. A soup bowl level of gravy had a biscuit, bacon and egg submerged in the gravy. Perhaps this is the way a dish like this is served in N Cal, but it was off putting. Gravy soup. Companions omelet was standard issue and fine. Her fried potatoes had no seasoning at all which is odd for breakfast taters. Cinnamon roll had odd “fried” texture to it. Not great. Waitress was very friendly and the restaurant itself has a very cool vibe. Clearly many people love this place as when we left there was a large outdoor line properly obeying the rules! Maybe we just visited on a bad day but I would not return here if I am ever in Sacramento again.
Never again
The wait time was 1 hour and 30 minutes . The host told us the bar was not available, but the bar was empty. The hos let other people to sit at the bar 10 minutes after we had arrived. We ask to sit inside because it was lots of flies and 85 degrees outside. Host told us that we would have to wait another hour if we wanted to sit inside. We decided to still order and set outside in the heat and witness a few people who were not on the waitlist get a table inside Once the food came, the food looked like it had been sitting out for a while and didn't taste that good. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The host was not professional and very mean, however the waiter was nice. The host was short with other guest and did not appear to like her job. Before making this review, I asked a few friends about how they felt about Bacon and Butter, they said they would not be returning to this restaurant because they had similar experience as mine.
Hidden Fees
I only looked at the menu. In the fine print, it said that they added a 5% fee to cover the increasing cost of having a business in California. So, instead of honestly raising the prices by 5% per item, they charge an additional 5% that you may or may not notice. I won't be going.

It's a small location especially when the weather is cooler and the patio is closed. Be prepared for a wait, but you're able to enjoy a drink (on the patio) or a non alcoholic beverage in your car while you wait for your "table is ready" text. Staff is friendly. Food is excellent. Your bill comes between the pages of a cookbook or novel. Will for sure revisit to taste other items on the menu.
Flew to Sacramento for the day for a basketball tournament.
We searched for a local place to eat and stumbled across Bacon and Butter. Reviews looked great and so did the menu. We decided to give it a try. Upon arriving we noticed a long line. So it just her good. We put out name down and they told us that there is an hour and a half wait. Place wasn't that big. We decided to wait. The food was out if this world and service was outstanding. Joey was our server and she was the nicest, sweetest waitress we've ever had. We are so glad we stopped by and can't wait to go back there.

If you have time and good taste this is the place!!!! The wait was a little long, but well worth the food & coffee. I had the biscuits and gravy (huge biscuits filled with full strips of bacon, smothered in gravy). Great service, retro remade environment that I loved and totally vibed with, good jams on the entire time . I need to plan to come here for brunch and mimosas with the girl!!!!
The flapjacks are divine! The waiters, staff and kitchen
The flapjacks are divine! The waiters, staff and kitchen are amazing. They go above and beyond with their service. The food was as delicious as the pictures. The restaurant is open and spacious. I love the decorations. The kitchen staff made us a flapjack after being closed for 30 minutes while we were still seated. Jerome and Jeramy excellent staff and very attentive. We will be back. Hope I spelled all names properly.

Best breakfast food in Sacramento! Massive portions and there's some options to get one pancake or things like that. We ordered the citrus poppyseed flapjack and the biscuit sandwich. Both were beyond incredible, layered with flavor and big portions. Get here early to avoid a wait!
Finally was able to get in and eat here and it was good.
everything was fresh and we were served quickly.
Definitely will come back! I had been excited to try Bacon
Definitely will come back! I had been excited to try Bacon and Butter as I had seen photos and it looked really good. When we got there we were put on an 1hr and 30 min wait list. Normally I would've just gone somewhere else but we decided to go thrifting while we waited. I liked that we could see our spot in line. Once we were notified our table was ready we came back and we're seated promptly. I ordered Lemonade and the Eggs Benedict Grilled Cheese. Sooooo goood. Our server was super friendly and checked in on us often. The inside vibe of Bacon Butter is like a diner. We were seated at a booth and the lamp above us had a clock attached, sort of cool. I really enjoyed the food though and can't wait to go back and try more. I'm only docking one star as per the long wait, but it was Saturday brunch time !
Decent food.
Chicken and waffles were fine but chicken was like 6 pieces of small chicken and waffle was thick. Personally prefer more chicken and a thinner waffle. More annoyed at their ope charge they list under the taxes which is for operations...

HAVE AGAIN: The grilled cheese benny with bacon was very good, although it would be much better having the benny on half the large biscuit with the other half of the biscuit available for butter and jelly (benny biscuit just too thick). Potatoes were flavorless and boring. Side of bacon was good but not fantastic as I would expect from a place with 'bacon' in its name. Pear French toast was also very good, but could have been slice thinner and had more pear. Service very pleasant and good.
