Beware of the cancellation policy for this restaurant . We booked dinner for our family of 4 but the ferry service was cancelled on that day due to bad weather . Although we explained this was entirely beyond our control we had our card debited with the cancellation fee of EUR 120 ( EUR 30 X 4 ) . Very poor customer relations for what purports to be a quality restaurant .

There were mice scurrying around while we ate dinner last night. When I told our waiter that there was a mouse, he ignored what I said. I then mentioned it to another employee & he replied that he hadn't seen one in months. The fact that we spent a large amount of money and had to dine with mice at our feet is unacceptable.
Great view, good drinks
Drinks were good, but overpriced. You pay for the view primarily. We paid 160 euros for 4 drinks. The service was great; but felt a bit rushed to order more drinks.
Not worth it!
My boyfriend and I went for some drinks and food. The experience was nice at the beginning but having ordered, we were completely neglected. They arrived with our starters and we had to wait an hour in between that and the mains. One waiter asked if we were okay after 40 minutes and if we wanted anymore to eat and said we were still waiting on our mains! Afterwards, we just wanted to leave so asked for the bill. Another waiter typed in the amount on the card machine and just threw it onto the table and left my boyfriend to put his card in and pay. Overall not a great experience! The food was good and the views were pretty, not worth it though.

Service was okay, we were sat in a corner and it had taken a bit for someone to stop by, but the food came out efficiently once our order was placed. Overall, the food was fine and the inside is cute for pictures!
Everyone loved their meal.
The service was great, although our waiter spoke with a very fast accent for my hearing impaired friends. The decor was bright and happy and the place felt energetic. The fresh bread and olive oil was delicious. Our meal came out quickly and we were out of the place quickly. I had branzino over shredded greens and parsnip piree.it was every good.

Great atmosphere and great food!! Beautiful setting in Old City Philly! Cheapest wine is $58. I had the special $45 for three courses. Nice deal.

Beautiful restaurant in a quiet cul de sac in downtown Philly... my husband had the pork chop and my father in law had the crab cake. They both said it's the best they've ever had!! I had a veggie pasta and it was good. My son's Pesto ravioli was delicious, he said, but the portion was too small for his 16 year old runner physique. We had calamari for appetizer and fried veggies (zucchini, and artichoke breaded and fried). We did not care for the Fried veggies... too salty and oily, but the calamari and House Bread were great! Will be stopping here again on my way back home!! Nick, our waiter, was super!!! Five star experience all around!
I typically visit this place occasionally.
However, on this occasion, the food was merely average. Additionally, we couldn't finish our meals and lost our appetite after witnessing mice scurry from one corner to another and even climb onto my hat and bag that I had left on the floor. I mentioned this to the server and runner, but they simply stated that the mice entered because the door was open. I can't imagine how many more there might be in the kitchen. I believe they need to address this issue immediately. As someone in the restaurant industry, I understand that this is a serious problem that could lead to people getting sick.

Date: 5/30/25 | Place: Positano Coast, Philadelphia | Server: Martin S After an 8-hour car ride to the infamous Roots Picnic (yes, THAT one... the fiasco heard 'round the internet), my beau did what good men do and booked us something to redeem the day: a pretty little spot with glowing reviews and coastal decor. The vibe? Confusing but cute. Is it Amalfi? Sardinia? Philly chic with a lemon tree filter? We weren't sure. But we appreciated the effort, even if the menu leaned more ambiguous coastal than authentic Italian. Now let's talk seating. We were tucked all the way in the back, which didn't go unnoticed. Our section featured two date-night couples and a Black girl gang catching up over drinks. My man and I, fresh off our fitness challenge victory, were sat squarely facing the ladies -- and honey, it was giving looky-loo energy. The Meal: Tempered Expectations ($14) & Phony Negroni ($13): Non-alcoholic, yes -- but fire. Worth every penny and zero buzz regrets. Panna Still Water ($6.50): Because hydration is luxury, I guess. Caesar Salad ($13): Anchovies blended in the dressing? That's not very Roman of you. A safe choice, not a standout. Rabe & Mushroom Flatbread ($20): Healthy, sure. But also forgettable. More yoga retreat than coastal indulgence. Ceviche & Chips ($20): Surprisingly satisfying. Could've stopped here tbh. Roasted Beet Salad ($16): Bright, fresh, but predictable. Lamb Chops (NOT the Rack!): He ordered chops. They gave chops. But they charged us rack prices ($40). That's rack-eting! Five mini chops, three too fatty, and only one honest mistake -- the one we didn't catch until the check. Lesson: Always scan that bill before you sign, babes. Overall meal: 7/10. Ambiance: 6/10. Authenticity: . Next time I'm in Philly? I just might follow my foodie instincts and hit that Indian or Turkish spot next door. Because while Positano was cute, it wasn't calling me back. Philly tip: If you're giving "coast," give us flavor, flair, and fairness. And maybe rethink the seating chart while you're at it.

They may be regular clients, the manager seemed to know them. The man decided to conduct business on his speaker phone, and it sounded like he had a taxi cab business or something Loud and non-English language. Really rude. Food was fine, except they over salted the artichoke salad. How does that happen? We left the self indulgent noise dude and his trophy wife and went to the bar to finish our wine before paying the bill for lunch.
We had not been to Positano Coast for at least 10 years.
Last night our Central High School class (graduated January, 1958) had our reunion there, partly because they have a big room that could accommodate 24 people. The food was great, the drinks were great, the package price was great ($55 per person), and the workers could not have been nicer and more efficient. They all smiled, were pleasant and friendly, not something you really expect for a group dinner where everything was paid in advance. I can't say enough about Positano Coast. They were wonderful. If you have a large group event coming up, consider Positano Coast. They rock!
Fabulous.
We (party of four) had a terrific dinner! We got lucky and grabbed some seating on the porch with a beautiful view of the Merchant's Exchange Building. Nick was our server - he was attentive and witty and gave us some great suggestions! Some of the appetizers from our table included Spicy Calamari, Arancini, and Fritto Misto. Our friends enjoyed the Squash & Apple Salad, and the beet ravioli. My husband had the Casarecce Bolognese and I took Nick's advice end thoroughly enjoyed the Pan-Seared Pork Chop. We all had desserts but I think the winner was the Chocolate Tortino (like lava cake). I can't believe we have never eaten here, but we will be back. Great place in Old City!
Great views, uninspiring cocktails
Beautiful spot overlooking Positano. We were there for cocktails. Very pricey (30euro and up) and they were average at best. The ‘Positano’ was quite good but very small … 4 sips are so. Tommy’s Margarita wasn’t great though may have been better if it was served with ice. Wouldn’t go back … much better spots in my opinion.
Good food - but don’t forget your flashlight
Although we did not stay at the hotel, we wanted to try the restaurant. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The service was top notch (some of the best we’ve had). The view of Positano is fabulous. The food was really good- but you can’t get pasta with the meatballs. The meatball dish was great. It would have been perfect if pasta could be added if one chose to do so. The French fries were great. The terrace was rather dark (being a small flashlight or your phone for the light so you can read the menu). I would have rated a 5 if pasta was an optional add-on. For me, this is a very romantic spot to have some wine and view the city. For me, this is not the best dining experience but was good (again, don’t forget the flashlight or your phone’s flashlight - you’re going to need it).

Fantastic and classy venue, great staff! We enjoyed the signature cocktails with each waiter paying meticulous attention to the table. But take my advice and make a reservation

Dine in | Dinner Place is definitely more modern since they redid it... Menu's been the same forever. They have great small plates and for a seafood place their red sauce is top notch. Happy hour is great, bartenders know their stuff. Do to a crowd, I really expected a different experience and felt that this place missed the mark. Here is my takeaway: Pros Back room for events Beautiful spaces and ambiance Cute seating with plush furniture by back bar Lots of options to choose from Cons Sever, perhaps kitchen didn't seem to understand food intolerances. Unsure what got lost in the message Drinks weren't balanced and alcohol overpowered the 2 out of 3 drinks we tried. Entree wasn't very memorable

We only stopped by for drinks and an appetizer but the food and service at the bar were great. We had aranicins and Aperol spritz and both were spectacular. Only complaint is the DJ playing hip hop and Latin music doesn't really go with coastal vibes of the restaurant,
Not worth it
Service was great, food was fine (but in my option overpriced for what it was). We enjoyed amazing cocktails with great views of the pool, the sea and positano but when asked to move the table to dine more comfortably, the hostess and host at the door were unfriendly, unprofessional and clearly amused by our request. Quite disappointing seeing as we spent alot of money there.
The ambiance was beautiful- upscale and chic.
Service excellent- attentive and friendly. We enjoyed seafood and pasta entrees and they were scrumptious. We would definitely return! There is a lovely outdoor area for alfresco dining.

I haven't been here in over 20 years and I have to say I'm not sure why I waited so long to come back! The food and service was excellent! I made a last minute reservation here with my girlfriends last night and the food did not disappoint! The ambiance is wonderful the dining room has beautiful photos of Italy throughout! I always get the zucchini crab cake because it's amazing , it's always consistent in flavor and presentation. We ordered the grilled octopus which was perfectly cooked and the vibrant and flavorful beet salad! It was so nice to sit and chat over wine and great food. My other girlfriend got the rigatoni ala vodka which is another favorite dish of mine! The best kept secret to this place is the creamy homemade limnoncello!! It's absolutely delicious! I'm so glad my girlfriends could be treated to such a darling food experience and take a quick pause on our hectic lives to reconnect. The staff was friendly and allowed us to take our time and really enjoy our evening!! I can not wait to go back!!

truly never fails. obsessed with the grilled octopus appetizer! but honorable mention to the tuna tartare and the arancini balls. if you come during happy hour, definitely recommend the lobster mac and the crab tacos!! service is great and the the restaurant itself is adorable. bright and vibrant. so worth the trip!
Good dinner spot
Nice place to sit and watch the sun set over the mountains. The price is pretty expensive but the service and food is top notch. Only reason this is not a 5 star review is because of the price of their oysters and cocktails.

What a lovely place! Dinner with a friend last night was superb. Parked in a garage directly around the corner and walked the ramp up to the restaurant....offering a pretty second floor view of the cobblestones below. Warm bread with oil begins the meal. Spectacular. My friend highly recommends the beet salad starter. I had the soup of the day (fresh vegetables and lovely broth) that was so piping hot it needed 10 mins to cool from lava to mildly searing. But the pan-seared Branzino? Complete with leeks, wild mushrooms and parsnip purée? This was melt in your mouth perfection. This was think about it the next day perfection. Just do yourself a favor and, if you are a fish-lover, go immediately and order this dish. We had absolutely no room to try the dessert selection but saw several delightful looking sweets at the next table. So make a reservation and head over.....you won't regret it.

My wife and enjoyed sufficiently spicy Bloody Marys while sharing a spinach omelette and calamari. Everything was wonderful. And table service was exceptional.

Came here for a corporate dinner and while everyone was raving about the restaurant across the street, I find this to be a great space for the first warm evening of 2024 in Philly. I wasn't drinking on this particular evening so I couldn't comment, but everyone seemed to have fun at the bar and it seemed to be a pretty happening place on a weeknight located just 7 blocks from Independence Hall. There were so many options and when given the choices I always ask the server what I should have and she told me I shouldn't miss the crab cakes. They were moist and seasoned perfectly so much that I could not even recall savoring them. For those who don't like fish, they were not too fishy either. The seafood fried appetizer platter was a great starter along with the burrata. Dessert was amazing too. Definitely a nice place to take friends for a warm casual dinner on a nice summer's eve.

The food was delicious, but I had a very difficult time getting in and out. There is no elevator, and the ramp is wildly noncompliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Atrocious. A ramp is required to have a slope of 8 degrees with flat platforms every 30 feet for people to rest. I have multiple disabilities, and it was VERY hard for me to get up the ramp. It caused immense physical pain. The ramp has an 18 degree slope!! This is ILLEGAL. The ADA is 33 years old, and all business are absolutely required to comply. Many, obviously, do not. Shame!

Visited Positano Coast on a sunny Saturday afternoon and had an awesome brunch meal with great people. I always ride by this place and was excited to try. Saturdays the have a bottomless mimosa/sangria brunch and boasts a wide array of menu items. There's typically a DJ spinning fun tuned for guests to enjoy. It's a pretty large space with walls adorned with images of Italy. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Great overall service. Food was solid. Went outside of my comfort zone and went with the Short Rib Focaccia. Now the fries were the highlight. Crispy, well seasoned, and delicious Items to keep in mind for bottomless mimosas - the mimosas are premixed. (I wish the champagne and Orange juice came out separately) - the entire party must participate in the bottomless mimosa.

I've been here on a number of occasions, birthdays, bridal celebrations, dinner dates and every time I've enjoyed the ambiance and the food. The decor is beautiful, I love the oversized wall art & the picture of colors. Our water had us in stitches as he shared the specials, one being the red snapper. He thought that it was a turtle and made the finger gestures of a snapping turtle, we thought it was so funny. I thought that it was kinda cute because it definitely showed his age. It our food was delicious, the drinks were A+ and the atmosphere was perfect for a birthday dinner date.

Ordered the French toast with a side of bacon. I was a little put off at first when I saw the portion and appearance but this was probably one of the best French toast I ever had and my bacon cooked exactly to order (soft). Sangria was great too! DJ was a nice touch as well! Will return!

The menu was just so pricey given the amount and quality of food you get. The $17 waffle :') the skillet was good but not great. Anyway, good brunch option if the food isn't a priority and you don't mind spending a lot.

We came for dinner at Aldo's just before sunset. The setting is very nice, and service was great. I really enjoyed the champagne cocktails, and the wine list. I had some oysters which were delicious. The mignonettes were OK, but I've had better. Then we had the sashimi platter. Oh so fresh. We should have ordered another platter. It was delicious. Then I had a cheese platter, which was too big and just OK. My daughter had some pasta that she really liked. At la Sponda below, we could hear a musician and I think that gave a lot of the ambiance for Aldo's as well. It was a very nice meal.

Aldos bar is located at LaSponda and requires a separate reservation for a very small table in a very small bar. They serve drinks, small bites, lobster and other sea life. Service is tuxedo jackets And spot on. Dress to impress and do your best to try and walk in if you are lacking a reservation. Have fun
Worth the view, could skip the wait.
We had hoped to go to Franco’s bar, and lined up at 6pm in a line that appeared to stretch forever. Instead we jumped in line for Aldo’s and waited 30 minutes in what can only be described as a wind storm before being allowed in. When we were allowed in, we were the first table seated. The view is spectacular, the cocktails divine, the vibe is one of a kind, but alas after waiting 30 minutes outside to be let in, we could only sit and enjoy our cocktails for 30 mins before heading to our dinner reservation across the street.I’m glad we went, but probably save yourself the wait and only go if you have a reservation. Waiting outside was not pleasant nor do I believe necessary, and they don’t let you walk into the lobby unless your a guest of the hotel.
Overhyped. Insipid food . Sadly disappointed
Completely overhyped. It was our worst meal in Italy. We’ve been here for two weeks. The service was mediocre. The menu is ridiculously overpriced, and the food well completely uninspired. As far as the view yes it’s beautiful but we’ve been here for a week. Do yourself a favor and try Da Vincenzo or Gabrisa. Super delicious. Casa e Bottega cocktails and lunch was spectacular. I wanted to love this place. As a matter of fact, I get up at 3am to make a reservation sadly, a huge thumbs down.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Aldo's Positano at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Aldo's Positano page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at Aldo's Positano to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Aldo's Positano!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
